Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Requirements

Activision and Treyarch have revealed the Call of Duty Cold War requirements, leaving us all a little shocked at the massive storage requirement.

For all the fans out there who are excited about the Black Ops Cold War release, brace yourselves and your hard drives.

Because if you want to try out all modes of the best game ever, you’ll need at least 175GB of free storage space on your hard drive.

If you’re going to play on 4K with max graphics, the system requires 250 GB of SSD free. However, the multiplayer components of Call of Duty Cold War require only 45 GB of storage space.

Minimum Call of Duty Cold War Requirements

The Call of Duty Cold War requirements include:

• CPU equivalent to an Intel Core i5-2500K
• an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 graphics card
• 8 GB RAM

Recommended Call of Duty Cold War Requirements

1. Intel Core i7-4770K or better for CPU
2. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 Graphics card
3. 16 GB of RAM

You can play the game at the minimum requirements given by Treyarch, but it won’t be enjoyable, and the graphics will be poor.

However, if the game is played at the recommended system requirements, it will run smoothly at 60FPS with medium graphics.

Call of Duty Cold War Configurations

Treyarch and Activision have provided us five formats to choose from: with or without ray-tracing, 60FPS versus High-refresh 144Hz, and full-HD versus 4K.

Recommendations for COD at 60FPS with Ray-Tracing

 For Call of Duty Cold War at 60FPS with ray tracing, the recommendations include:

1. Intel i7-8700K for CPU and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 for GPU
2. 16GB RAM
3. 175GB of SSD storage at launch
4. The video presentation is Medium

Recommendations for COD Cold War at 60FPS without Ray-Tracing

 For Call of Duty at 60FPS without ray tracing the system requires:

1. Intel Core i5-2500K for CPU, Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 / GTX 1660 Super or AMD Radeon R9 390 for GPU
2. 12GB of RAM
3. 175GB of hard-disk space
4. The video presentation is Medium

High-Refresh Monitor and High FPS Recommendations

For high-refresh, the recommendations include:

1. Intel i7-8700K or AMD Ryzen 1800Xfor CPU  Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 / RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX Vega64 for GPU
2. 16GB of RAM space
3. 175GB of HDD (at launch)
4.  The video presentation is High

Recommendations for 4K with Ray-Tracing

For this mode you’re required to have the following:

1. Intel i9-9900K or AMD Ryzen 3700X for CPU and Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 for GPU
2. 16GB RAM
3. 250GB of SSD (at launch)
4. The video presentation is Ultra

Activision is releasing Call of Duty Cold War on November 13 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series S/X.
